SPIRITUALITY AND CREATIVITY
Religious activities are believed by a vast majority of people all over the world to be elements of one's spiritual devotedness to God but I personally think that that is not all you have to do to be ' spiritual'.
Spirituality is the totality of your acts of worship, good intentions towards others, the reading and following of either the Scripture or the Holy Qur'an,following certain religious doctrines that have been preached and most importantly your faith in God, His Angels and the belief in the Hereafter (Judgment Day).
All of these and so many other things form the basis of your spiritual personality but most of us make a big mistake by adhering strictly to these spiritual elements and doctrines without allowing our inner self to perform its function - to be creative to the maximum.
Religion doesn't stop anyone from being creative and productive in their various fields as long as things are done the right way. The Italian clergyman and poet , Francesco Petracha during the Renaissance agitated for the inclusion of ' secular learning ' to the study of religion (Theology) which was the common study at that time.
For a clergyman to have done such a thing, we all should know that it is not a crime to be creative in other fields of study. We have to embrace religion along with creativity that has been installed in us by the Almighty ; this involves using the Power of Imagination effectively.
Everyone is born Noble and has the right to do things that would bring smile to both the individual and the faces of numerous others. We should not all in the name of being ' spiritual ' kill off our creative part. Like I always tell people, " Your Spirituality should never take away that creative part of you". Never give it a thought to let go of that wonderful idea you have in your mind. It might be drawing, writing, music, designing, crafts and all other forms of artwork and creativity.
Remember that " you're the peak of all creations" and you should always endeavour to project your creativity to the whole world.
