THE BOY OF MANY DREAMS
The bright and young mind who likes to get things done. The special kid that has a knack for assembling and dissembling parts. The lovely creature that loves to put on the stethoscope ; amazing boy. This kid loves to help people get through their work just the same way a psychiatrist does. He wants to fly the biggest of jets and aircrafts. He always wished he jumped on the biggest musical stage just to dish out wonderful and melodious tunes to millions of people. This special boy loves to dream big.
The amazing little kid who wanted to emulate Papilo, Jay Jay and Thierry Henry. He always wanted to dribble past 3 defenders with just one super move. He fancied the man working on sites in the Far East, loved people who developed the model for skyscrapers and penthouses. This sweet little boy wanted to be the Malcolm X of Nigeria, he also wished he could one say ' I have a dream ' like Martin Luther King Jr said. He admired Nelson Mandela's perseverance and wanted to one day be called a ' a peaceful and influential black man'. This awesome creature watched the Will Smith, Jackie Chans, Eddie Murphys and among many other actors and wanted to appear on the big screens across the globe.
This boy became a man ;black, bold, indomitable, fearless, cute and loving wanted to be every good thing on planet earth. He studied out of context, read contents meant for the intellectuals, spoke like a literati, asked like the great English dramatist.... Shakespeare.
He wanted to be that man who gave drugs and medical advice to people, he aspired to be the loving and ever listening teacher of many little wonders. The boy of so many dreams ; what people knew him to be. A Man of Many Possible Realities ; what he regarded to himself as.
The boy of many dreams ;he wished he could help straighten out the economy of the country by working in that big industry where they print money. He wanted to put on the famous and respected khaki just to defend his country from external aggression and help maintain peace and good coexistence in various countries of the world. This boy wanted to be that man in wig in that big courtroom that helps the helpless ones get justice. He wanted to defend the human rights of everyone.
He asked questions, observed people, places, things, phenomenon and longed for knowledge of various disciplines. He knew that he could be anything he wanted as long as he did the right thing at the right time.
This wonderful boy is no other person than the young man putting this words down. He has grown up to be a man. Not just a man but one with a lot of experiences and trials. He has gone through several phases of life with the good grace of God. The boy of many dreams has now streamlined all his dreams to just one dream he never had consciously ; he studies how to make effective use of Queen Elizabeth's language and also how to impart this knowledge unto the coming generations. He is still one of many dreams but has come to the reality that he has to have a dream at a time for him to effectively and successfully live his dreams to the peak.
The boy of many dreams is now a Man of Many Beliefs, a positivist, an optimist, an optimal thinker, a believer of fate and predestination and a great upholder of hope in the Supreme Being. He knows what he has to do to fulfil his dreams both the ones he have dreamt of and others he is yet to dream about.
The boy turned young man is looking forward to a brighter rewarding future, an egalitarian society, a peaceful and embracing country welcoming to all and sundry. He wishes the world would be a better place when everything falls in place. He would like to end this long piece of writing with the words of an influential and great woman, Eleanor Roosevelt which says that ; "do what you feel in your heart will be right for you, you'll be criticised anyway"
Peace out!
