VIEWS
I have strong vies on politics, religion,
relationship, dating, marriage, education and society-related matters. I have
opinions on basically every trending topic. I have point of views as regards
the trivia, important, delicate and fragile topics that has to do with the
populace. But I ask myself every time, must I air my views, opinions, point of
views and/or notions?
We are
quick to open our mouths to join in on-going conversations, topics, debates and
matters that are deemed urgent. This is quite a good thing to do but the bigger
questions should be: what are we saying? Is it important we air our opinions?
Are we being objective or subjective in our arguments, additions, subtractions
or possible conclusions? How reasonable is what we are saying coupled with the
fact that to what extent is what we are saying useful to the on-going
discussion?
The
fact that we are free to join in conversations and debates is not enough reason
to believe that we can say anything at any time anyhow. We need to be mindful
of the opinions we give, the views we confidently air even when uncalled for.
Whatever we say might incite violence, disrupt peace and harmony and bring
about a state of confusion, rancour and possibly, war.
Views
are meant to be aired, opinions are supposed to be given, point of views are
always welcomed. We should always speak up when we need to but the things we say
should be well guided and reasonably put. Your views, my views, our views are
what makes up the public opinion which is a veritable tool in castigating
government, questioning bad leadership and calling for a new positive change.
These are enough reasons we should always talk when needed but how we talk and
where we talk should be kept in mind.
Let’s
continue to engage in conversations, debates and trending matters. Let’s get
ultra-conscious. Let’s be guided.
