WHO ARE YOU? A SERVING LEADER? OR A POLITICIAN?

Mr. Leader, Mr. Chairman, Honorable Councilor, Mr. President, Mr. Governor and all off you in one political post or the other I call on you today not to criticize but to sensitize you. I beseech on all of you today to ask a very pertinent question. A question millions of people you lead would like to ask you but they can’t, a question that is very important to the significance of your held-post
Which are you? A serving leader or a politician? Are you a serving leader who has the interest of your people in mind? Or the politician who is personal interest which is at the detriment of the masses? Are you a considerate, egalitarian, disciplined, hardworking, visionary and accountable serving leader? Or the inconsistent, unjust, undisciplined, selfish and unreliable politician?
Which are you? The one who ensures the masses’ interest are pursued to the very best of his abilities or the nonchalant politician who only cares about being elected into power and does not fulfill promises of his manifestos?  What do you stand for? Your people or your pocket? What is your motto? Service to humanity? Or Embezzlement to the masses’ detriment? Who are you? A leader or a politician?
I would like you to know that being in that position doesn’t mean you are the best among the competitors of that particular post but as a result of God’s divine mercy and order, you became victorious. Always remember that prior to your ascension to the position, some people has been there and had to vacate the seat when their time was due. Mr. Leader, you are there just as a Senior member not as a Supreme member.
To end with, I want you to remember that every post held comes with the testing of one’s faith, humility and steadfastness. The game is yours to play; would you rather be a serving leader or a politician? Would you rather serve humanity or satisfy personal needs? Would you want to look back at your time as a leader and have regrets or be happy and thankful to God?
Would you rather be a serving leader or a politician?
