Men, Women, Lust, Fashion and Trends

Men, Women, Lust, Fashion and
Trends.

Women naturally are triggered by what they hear while men on the other hand are triggered by what they see. We all know this, we've all seen this, most of us have experienced this. So what is the need for demonising males who gets 'moved' by visual / graphical representations? What can we do to stop the unwanted objectification of ladies? How can we better the representation of ladies in the society, in the music and fashion industry?

Being a pervert is bad, chastity and lowering of the gaze is very important. But what again is the need for 'flashing of the skin' and /or projecting eroticism in the name of being 'liberal,' woke' or fashionably diverse? To chase clouts? To feel among, belonging and inclusive? Or maybe to appear trendy? I don't know, maybe something beyond my comprehension.

History is our best teacher, accounts of times past show clearly that one particular gender is prone to arousal and carnal wants. Studies have shown that several sex-related vices come from indecent dressing. New trends in the fashion and entertainment industry have prioritised objectifying women, promoting clothing lines and styles that reveal more and cover less skin which naturally is the usefulness of clothing materials.

We can do better : males should prioritise lowering of their gazes and be intentional about their perception, description and representation of females, protect their lust and wants. Females should priotise adequate covering of their bodies (at least the parts necessary to be covered), kick against the wrong representation of women in the music and fashion industries, sensitise young ladies of the need to respect, adore and protect their bodies at all times.

There are several other things we need to do, we all know this, we all know the importance, we all need to be do more to curb unwanted/ wrong perceptions, representations, acts and vices perpetrated by both males and females.

It is our duty to the society and humanity to remain humane to everyone, at all times regardless of gender, race, religion, association or affiliation. I'm Quadri AbdulQudus Bolaji, I think, believe and hope that we can do more ✊🏾🤍

  1. Often times I hear people talking about indecent dressing has nothing to do with rape and shouldn't be attach to it but trust me not all men has mastered self control and some can't resist those skinny blouses and skirts that reveals all that speaks to the sexual hormones of a man.
